We were fortunate to grow up in a lovely alpine village – Podkoren, just around the corner and a shot to the west from Kranjska Gora in the heart of the Julian Alps.
Quality schooling enabled us to obtain a solid education and encouraged our young open mind to develop sound judgement.
We can still recall the many stories our grandparents shared with us about this magical mountain world and other places around Slovenia. They evoked a profound love for our homeland and deep respect for its cultural heritage.
